Ive been doing rolling 44 to 47 hour fasts for almost a month now. After about 2 to 3 weeks, my body adjusted. I will say, though, something that has helped is extending my feeding window and eating a small meal first, letting that sit, and then having my large meal about 30 min to an hour later.
18hours your body starts to release glycogen stores in muscle 36 hours all glycogen stores in muscles are released Anything over that the benefits are all in fat loss and atrophy; which happens in all forms of fasting 16 hours and over. I practice a 16-20 hour fast everyday with one 36 hour fast a week. Hope this helps ️
Onthe other hand, a 36-hour fast achieves almost the same amount of calorie deficit, but your basal metabolic rate won’t fall. Since you’re fasting only once a week, your body doesn’t adapt to this. And you’ll be full of energy throughout the week, and maybe a little low on energy on the day you fast; that too only much later in the day.

Personally- I find it more difficult than doing either prolonged (24+ hour/multi-day) fasting, and more difficult than doing eating window (18:6 or 20:4) fasting. If you're fasting for various health benefits (autophagy, cellular regeneration, growth hormone, etc.) then you need to fast longer than 24 hours anyway.
HowI look now in a bikini due to my energy healing practice, not sure if this is an ego trap to make me care about how I look, I gotta say I'm happy with it, i rarely take photos or look into the mirror now so it's a bit of a surprise, I need no energy from normal human resources. 0. 29. r/Dryfasting. 13K.
